Question: I’m screening ½-inch minus stone on a 5’ x 14’ triple-deck screen for my asphalt plants, but my production is really slow! How can I increase production and stay within spec?

Answer: Replace the screen media on your second deck with Flex-Mat 3 D with ½-inch openings, then reverse the throw of your screen. This way you’ll get more production with your sized product without it pegging on the screen.

Question: When I run my crusher at capacity, I overload my screens, so I end up sending product back through the crusher. How can I coordinate my crushing and screening for the best overall production?

Answer: Flex-Mat 3 is unique in that it has up to 30% more open area than woven wire screens. You can increase your production by up to 1/3 just by using Flex-Mat 3 on your screens. By installing Flex-Mat 3 screens on all three decks, you eliminate problems with pegging, clogging and blinding, allowing your screens to run at their factory-specified capacity, like your crushers—boosting efficiency throughout your operation.
